A buying trip starts with the right badge
The useful question for a jewelry-store owner is what inventory can reach the case before the next selling window. JIS Fall offers purchases for immediate delivery as well as orders for later shipment. Start with a buying list and spending ceiling, then work backward to the suppliers and appointments worth the trip.
As of Tue., Oct. 20, 2026, the show has ended. It ran Fri., Oct. 16, to Mon., Oct. 19.
The show runs Oct. 16 to 19, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Admission is restricted to the qualified jewelry trade. Before arranging coverage for the store, get the registration category and paperwork settled.
The $25 fee and the category to check carefully
The registration page lists a $25 attendee charge, inclusive of applicable taxes and nonrefundable, for registrations beginning Oct. 1. Its listed categories include retailers, wholesalers, designers, distributors, diamond and gemstone dealers, and attending professionals.
There is a consequential qualification detail: the buyer-credentials page separately defines non-exhibiting professionals whose primary business is selling or distributing jewelry to retailers. They require management approval and pay $1,195 per badge. A supplier should clarify that category before budgeting around the advertised $25.
Assemble credentials before registering
JIS requires a fresh registration for each edition. Company credentials include a business license, seller's permit or sales tax certificate. Employment evidence is separate, and business cards or company employment letters are not accepted.
For retailers, the published requirements add either qualifying invoices from two suppliers totaling $10,000 within the past year or a qualifying JBT listing. Read the requirements for your own category before uploading documents.
Anyone who has not attended within two years must submit credentials for review and possible further documentation. For badge pickup, bring the registration QR code and a valid physical government-issued photo ID.
Pick the day and build a focused route
The published show schedule is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Oct. 16 to 18, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19. The venue address is 1901 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach. Onsite attendee registration closes 30 minutes before the show each day.
Divide the buying list into immediate stock needs, items worth testing in small quantities and purchases that can wait. Ask each supplier about minimum orders, delivery timing and return terms before committing. Keep written notes on those answers so a promising conversation can be compared with the next offer.
Questions about credentials can go to JIS customer service at jisshow@rxglobal.com or 203-840-5612.
